Ginborn provides the perfect location if you are looking for a traditional ‘winter’ holiday as opposed to an ‘alpine skiing’ holiday. Certainly our son’s first experience of real snow was here and all they did was play in it; a memory that will last a lifetime with stories that get told and re-told over and over as they have grown up.
(A white Christmas cannot be guaranteed but there's not been a green February ever.)
Högbobruk is known as Gästriklands cross-country ski paradise as early in the winter season they can offer high-quality artificially frozen tracks for both competitive athletes and sports enthusiasts. Lighting is provided between 07.00-23.00 hrs daily.
Högbobruk has been the official partner of Vasaloppet for several years and has helped many skiers to hone their skills for this large ski challenge. In 2007, Högbobruk’s next step involved the building of artificially frozen ski trails bring forward the start of ski season, by six to eight weeks in the autumn.
